Kyla Embrey (Special Events Director/ Ensemble) Originally from Georgia, Kyla came to Chicago direct from the University of Michigan where she received her BFA in Acting. Favorite Michigan credits include The Burial at Thebes (Antigone), The Dutchman (Lula), The Laramie Project (Zubaida et al.), The Real Thing (Debbie), Woyzeck (Marie), The Rover (Florinda), and Political Cabaret (Karl Rove). Around town, Kyla has been seen in The Fall of the House of Usher , Bumping Umbrellas (Evie) at Gorilla Tango, and Promethean’s Our Country’s Good (Liz Morden) and Shakespeare in the Garden. Other Credits include Sunday in the Park with George (Frieda/Betty) at Heritage Repertory Theatre and The Notebook of Trigorin (Nina) at the Chekhov International Theatre Festival in Moscow. Look for Kyla in Promethean’s upcoming Light of Love.
Nicole Hand (Ensemble) was born and raised in Denver, Colorado, where she helped create the Firehouse Theatre Company. She graduated from Northwestern University in June 2005 with majors in Theatre and English. While at NU she was involved in the student Shakespeare company Lovers and Madman, and the alternative theatre company Sit & Spin Productions for which she served as Production Manager. In 2002 she trained at the British American Drama Academy. In addition to theatre board work, she loves acting, directing and dramaturgy. Favorite shows include Julius Caesar (Portia), House of Blue Leaves (Head Nun), Sylvia (Director) and BASH (Dramaturg). She thanks her family and friends for their love and support.
Derek Jarvis (Ensemble Coordinator/Ensemble) is thrilled to be a part of such a dedicated and hard working staff and ensemble. Hailing from Perrysburg, Ohio and a graduate of Northwestern University's theatre program, Derek's most memorable theatre moment to date was writing, producing and directing his show Arr! Pirates. He also spent a summer studying in Oxford, England with the British American Dramatic Academy. Some of his favorite past roles include Polonius in Hamlet and Lollio in The Changeling. Derek is also an artistic associate with GreyZelda Theatre Group and a soon-to-be-licensed massage therapist.
Anne Korajczyk (Development Director/Ensemble) A Chicago area native, Anne graduated from Northwestern University in June 2005 with degrees in Theatre and English. Favorite roles at school included Rosalind, Juliet, and Fabian. She also studied at the British American Drama Academy's summer program in July 2004. Since graduating she has has the pleasure to perform with Bohemian Theatre Ensemble, Saint Sebastian Players, and Brown Couch Theatre Company.
Nicholas Lake (Box Office Manager/ Ensemble) moved to Chicago from Pennsylvania to study Theatre at Northwestern University. While at NU, Nick was part of Griffin's Tale Children's Repertory Theatre Company, WAVE Productions, and many productions including Much Ado About Nothing and Sexual Perversity in Chicago. Having graduated with a B.A. in Theatre in 2005, Nick is very excited to get his feet wet in the Chicago theatre scene and also thrilled to be part of the Promethean Theatre Ensemble. Nick may also be seen at the Adler Planetarium most days showing the stars and planets to the unsuspecting public.
Jordan Mann (Marketing Director/Ensemble) graduated with an MA in Theatre from Northwestern in 2005. Prior to that he has lived in New York, Buffalo, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. He wrote book and lyrcis for "The New Kid" which was selected as one of three works for the 2005 Disney/ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop in NYC. He is a 2006-07 Dramatist Musical Theatre writing fellow and a 2008 Jonathan Larson Award Winner. In addition, he is an adjunct professor at Triton College, writes trade show scripts for Fortune 500 clients and also serves as the program coordinator for the "Johnny Mercer- Power of the American Popular Song" program at Northwestern.
Stephen F. Murray (Artistic Director) directed PTE's productions of "Our Country's Good" and the first Evening of Shakespeare. Other directing credits include "Cat & Dick," "Radio Man" by Brett Nevue, "Romeo and Juliet," and "Art." Recent acting credits include "Hamlet" (Horatio), "Detective Story," "Puntila and Matti, and "Woyzeck" (Andres). He also works as a lighting designer having designed our inaugural production of "Beyond Therapy" among others. Stephen served at Assistant Artistic Director at Strawdog Theatre Company before the formation of Promethean in 2005. Hailing from the back-woods and lakes of Michigan's Upper Peninsula (the Les Cheneaux Island to be exact), Stephen found his way to Chicago through Interlochen Arts Camp and Northwestern University.
Brian Pastor (Executive Director/Ensemble) Brian's producing experience dates back to his days at Northwestern University, where he helped found, and functioned as a staff producer for, Lovers and Madmen, an all-Shakespeare performance troupe. Currently, Brian also serves as Managing Director of City Lit Theater, where he has helped produce such hit shows as last season's Holmes & Watson and the critically acclaimed adaptation of P.G. Wodehouse's Pigs Have Wings. Prior to moving to Chicago, Brian interned at the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera and apprenticed under the Director of Education and Outreach at the Pittsburgh Public Theater. Brian is also an actor, appearing in Chicago with City Lit, Bailiwick Repertory, Strawdog Theatre and Arts/Lane.
Ed Rutherford (Press Relations/Ensemble) has been working  as an actor, director and writer since graduating from Northwestern University in 2003. Recent acting work includes The Cradle Will Rock with White Horse Theatre Company and By Jeeves at Illinois Theatre Center. Ed has worked with Drury Lane Oakbrook, Noble Fool Theatricals, New American Theater, and Buffalo Theatre Ensemble, among many others. He has also served as the Theatre Editor for Centerstage Chicago. Currently, Ed is under-studying the new musical comedy The Water Coolers at the Lakeshore Theater, and looks forward to performing in the Stages 2006 Festival at Theatre Building Chicago in August. He is proud to be an ensemble member with PTE, and is excited to direct the first show of their first season, Beyond Therapy, in the fall.

Dawen Wang (Resident Musical Director) is a Chicago-based singer, actor, and composer. His original music was last heard in Promethean Theater’s Shakespeare in the Garden. Actor credits include: Thoroughly Modern Millie (Marriott); The Awesome 80s Prom (RadioStar Ballroom); and Sunday in the Park with George (Ravinia). Off the stage, Dawen arranges music for and directs The Dock Street Singers, an a cappella group that performs daily at Navy Pier. All his other time is devoted to an eponymous solo project, as well as his bands The Illustrated (a folk-hip hop endeavor) and One Trick Pony (a Paul Simon tribute project). Tom Weber (Literary Manager/Ensemble) Tom Weber appeared in Promethean's first sow, Beyond Therapy and will be in Light of Love this fall. Other projects this year include three Jeff-recommended productions: Mack and Mabel with Circle Theatre, Gidget with City Lit Theatre, and Gross Indecency: The Three Trials of Oscar Wilde with Boho Theatre. In the winter of 2008 he can be seen in 1776 with Signal Theatre Ensemble. He was also in the short film Improvisation that was an official selection of the
2007 Cannes Film Festival..
Beth Wolf (Outreach & Education Director / Ensemble) is thrilled to be working with Promethean Theatre Ensemble. Originally from Southern California, she landed in Chicago after graduating from Northwestern University in 2003 with a double major in theatre and gender studies. While at NU, Beth was a founding member of Lovers and Madmen, a student Shakespeare company for which she performed, produced, directed, and served on the Executive Board. Currently, during the day Beth serves as the Business Manager at Chicago Children’s Theatre. As an actor, Beth has performed with such companies as Tangerine Arts Group, Chicago Jewish Theatre, Smoke & Mirror Productions, and most recently, GroundUp Theatre. Beth also plays with an independent all-female improv team called Valid Hysteria.
Charlotte Williams (Resident Stage Manager) is originally from a small town outside of Boston, Massachusetts.  She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2005 with a BA in Theater and a focus in Stage Management.  Following her graduation, she wandered around New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and New York, before making the move to Chicago in the fall of 2006.  Favorite Credits include:  Chicago, Footloose, Evita, Into the Woods (Papermill Theatre – Lincoln, NH), 4.48 Psychosis, All’s Well that Ends Well, Angels in America (University of Massachusetts – Amherst, MA), My Fair Lady (Cohoes Music Hall – Cohoes, NY), and Promethean’s Our Country’s Good.
Sam Wootten (Social Chair/Ensemble) moved to Chicago in 2005. Heading northward from the subtler climes of Marietta, GA has worked out fairly well for Sam. He has gotten married to a beautiful woman, studied and performed commedia dell’arte in Italy, completed graduate school, produced and taught movement/mask/CdA workshops, shared the stage with some very talented actors, rocked a microphone like a vandal, and fallen in love with a miniature schnauzer. Some local credits include Our Country’s Good (Promethean), Electronic Baby (Bobkat Productions), Emma (Reverie), and Stop Kiss (Brown Couch). Sam has also appeared in many regional commercials, independent films, industrials and TV shows. Sam holds an MFA in Acting from Indiana University, a BA in Theatre from UGA, and a Certificate from the XXth Stage Internazionale di Commedia Dell’Arte.
